The order of the chapter 25 (KJV) indicates that Abraham had died before the twins were born; however, Abraham was alive until they were 15 years of age.

Here’s the math:

Abraham was 100 when Isaac was born. (Gen 21:5 Avraham was one hundred years old when his son Yitz'chak [laughter] was born to him).

When Isaac was 40 he got married so Abraham would have been 140. (Gen 25:20 Yitz'chak was forty years old when he took Rivkah, the daughter of B'tu'el the Arami from Paddan-Aram and sister ...

The worship leader insisted on belting out the song with the lyrics, 'wait upon the lord', after what seemed like fifteen rounds of the chorus, everyone was emotionally charged up, but for me it did not cut it..... i did not sing, instead i waited on the lord ( i quietly sang my own song, spent time praying and waited and listened). I do not know if anyone else waited, because everyone seemed too busy singing.... no time to wait.

Also, in reading the Isaac, Jacob and Esau scriptures again - it seems Isaac learned that Jacob had gotten the blessing instead of Esau (which I understand only one of the children could have) and then the next morning he seems to be fine with it and gave him the blessings that went with Abraham (Chapter 288).
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;

Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.

Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,

Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;

I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;

Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;

Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;

Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;

Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:

This is just to say hello to all. I'm new to Christianity, I accepted Christ only last month so don't expect anything profound for a while.

I really hope that this forum grows since I've never been a 'founding member' before. Mainly though, I just look forward to discussing God in a forum free from hatred and strife. I'm here to grow and to learn. So let the learning and growing begin!

May God bless us all!

EDIT-bad color choice. Ooopsy!
