Hi guys,

As you know Brian and I have just come back from a months wonderful holiday. I must confess that while we were away I ate quite a lot of .. PIG !!
Bacon and ham, pork roast......I was aware that I shouldn't but it was just soooooo yummy, and I didn't have to do any cooking while away, so that seemed to make it taste that much more yummy. But I'll try and be good now I'm home !!

mmmm, bacon sandwiches.

not far from our house is an outlet for a large pizza chain. as part of their christmas marketing, they sent out a christmas card menu with a picture of a wise man bringing the gift of a pepperoni pizza to baby jesus. Anyway, Catrin and I thought it perversely amusing and emailed the company to point out the howler they had made.

they did not find it funny, tey just thought we were offended (we weren't and even said in the email how ironic it was).

some people have no sense of humour.

p.s. the pepperoni they use was pork/beef mix and they said they may take some of our ideas on board (more chicken and beef pizzas - WE LOVE PIZZA)

Why is it that there seems to be a great "tradition" to have legs of ham at Christmas....why do people think it's so special ?

I had some great cheese while I was away...made from sheep milk....very different and some of it was quite nice. I love "different" types of cheeses and meats....
