| I asked Steven to put this forum on so that we could pray for people we know. I hope you all like it. Anyway I wondered if you could pray for a soldier we know. We dont know him very well, his mum is a neighbour of Stevens mum and dad. His name is Lee he is her youngest son. When he was small his mum used to call him "r baaaby" (its the dialect you know"). He is serving in Afganistan for the second time. A few days ago his friend got shot in the foot and the wall they were sheltering by collapsed on him and they think he is paralysed. Hes only about 20. Thanks Catrin xx |

Oh dear, that is sad. Of course there'll be prayers for this young man. I hope the Forces give him a good pension, which might aleviate the financial burden on them...... I guess that's what you can get for being in the service of your country....but no one really expects those things to happen to the ones you love..... _________________ Be gentle with yourself and others and reflect the light of Christ.

| I saw Lee's sister yesterday, after I saw Lee last week walking around the village. She said that he is much better. Th Army rang his mum initially when they suspected he'd got spinal damage, but it turns out that his wasnt as badly injured as they had thought. He's got sick leave until after Christmas, and has to go for physio until then. Catrin xx |
