PostSubject: Another question about Yom Kippur   Tue Sep 04, 2007 3:29 pm

The first prayer said on Yom Kippur revokes all previous oaths made in that Year. What about the marriage vows? Is this seen as a different kind of vow? How do you know which vows are included and which ones aren't?

Based on recent readings, marriage vows, etc. aren't included b/c they are between people. Another article said any thing in a court of law falls under this also.

The oaths referred to are those someone individually makes to Yahweh.
