I've read articles that stated that the Tent of Meeting contained the Tabernacle, that they didn't exist at the same time, that the Tent of Meeting was Moses' prayer closet, that the Tent of Meeting was another name for the Tabernacle, that the tribes surrounded the Tabernacle and the Tent of Meeting was outside the camp, etc. I just don't know which perspective is accurated based on scripture - I have looked. Anyone know?

Ex 33:7 - Show Context
Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp, far from the camp, and called it the tabernacle of meeting. And it came to pass that everyone who sought the Lord went out to the tabernacle of meeting which was outside the camp.

Followed by:

Ex 39:32 - Show Context
Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was finished. And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses; so they did.

Many hold that after the golden calf incident ,, Moshe removed the tabernacle from amoung the people to keep it from being profaned. Others say it stayed at the center.

Now that We are the "tabernacle" is is on individual basces we stewart that "cloud" of witness;)
