Kosher Talk

I thought I'd start a thread where we can bring up any questions about eating and keeping Kosher.

For those starting out here is a website that lists those animals that are called clean and can be eaten according to Torah.

Birds - Amongst the species that are known to be kosher are: chicken, turkey, dove, duck, certain types of geese, pheasant, quail.

We went to Skegness recently. Its a seaside town for those who dont know. Anyway we went to Natureland, which has rescued seals, and a variety of other small animals, one of which is quail. You wouldnt get much meat off a quail would you?

Nope, but if they are thigh high, you would soon get sick of them! ( Num 11:31)
They actually are pretty good, you just need about two per person. I'll take chicken any day though, a lot easier to prepare and not as easy to burn.
