Are you perhaps speaking of L'Shon hara? This is speaking of the evil tongue, that the words we say have power, just as our maker spoke creation into existence we also have a bit of that power when we speak. For instance if you say something mean and harsh to someone you hurt them, and can cause a whole chain of reaction. It is an outward way of demonstrating the idea Yeshua/Jesus was making speaking about adultery, if you even think about it, you are just as guilty. When you speak lies or hurtful things to someone they are just as if you physically harmed them. | |
